Aoife & Brendan's wedding followed shortly after their featured engagement shoot. Their civil ceremony took place at Islington Town Hall. This is one of my favourite venues in London, as the building itself is steeped  in history and character and was restored to it's original glory in 2009. It's large Victorian windows allow floods of natural light into the building, making for stunning images.

 

I loved the chemistry between The Pharmacist (*pardon the deliberate pun) and the Civil Servant from the first time I met them. I documented their wedding ceremony and the dash to Euston station, as the embarked on their honeymoon as newlyweds.

 

During the couples shoot, I often like to juxtapose newlyweds against the busy urban streets, photographing them as if it was a regular day. During our walkabout, we stopped at the delicious Ottolenghi restaurant, to grab some Mediterranean cuisine for the train journey...
